It would seem that "The Secret" has brought to prominence the somewhat dubious activities of one of its members. David Schirmer has become a multi-millionaire (this claim is made on a number of his web sites and in his marketing - so it must be true!!) by taking money from anyone and everyone who will give it to him, while providing either nothing in return or a very ordinary service. Is that the secret?

He is, by his own admission, the only Australian in this production. It would seem those in the BRW Top 200 list who are undisputedly wealthy and no doubt some of those have a fascinating story to tell, just don't cut the mustard like David Schirmer.

The simple fact is that David Schirmer was "selected" to be in "The Secret" when there is absolutely no proof of his claims of wealth. Could it perhaps have been his very cosy association with Bob Proctor that brings the whole "Secret" idea into question.

Following are a number of links that help to highlight some of the discussions and information that is on the web about "The Secret" and David Schirmer. While quite possibly some of it may not be entirely correct, there is an underlying theme throughout that many people have noted which would not have been seen if there wasn't an element of truth in it somewhere. Just his mere claim of being a "guru" alone, raises more questions than provides answers. One really does appreciate the narcissist claims of some when he aligns himself with Mother Theresa, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates to name a few and you have to see his marketing to really get the picture here. He has not proven once that he can come clean on any promises to the mere mortals that he has taken money from or not paid it to and this is where one has to really appreciate the comments on the links below. If anyone can provide unrefutable evidence that David Schirmer IS who he claims to be then there are a number of people, not to mention his own lawyer, who would appreciate seeing this surely.
This is an ever changing list.

  Some Schirmer words of wisdom:

"When thing don't go as we expect them to, it is a sign that our subconscious needs to be reprogrammed in that area.  We must accept that whatever is our result we created it, even if we don't undersatnd how or why.  Then rather than spend time trying to figure out why, who, what etc, spend that energy on creating EXACTLY the life you desire.

We create our own circumstances, more importantly you get to create your future circumstances as well ... now that's exciting!!"

- The above is Schirmers advise to a question someone raised to him. Perhaps he should read it and apply it to his own life. Full text here.

Even some churches seem to like what he says:

"I will be speaking at the Unity Church, 4 Renown St, Burwood, Melbourne this Sunday morning, February 11."

- Full text here

  Another Schirmer gem:

"When a well meaning, high profile psychologist on a radio interview said today that the Secert is dangerous and doesn't work ... and what professional qualifactions do I have to back up my claims!  I calmly replied that I have a degree in results ... and the "By your fruits you are known!"  I had to smile as I looked out from my window of my office at home across the estate to the city, as he was stuck in traffic driving his basic car home from the job he goes to every day!!!!"

- He is certainly becoming known by his fruits, mostly lemons it would seem. Full text here.

  And another:

"Understand that because you 'missed out' on the $2500 commission you didn't really.  See if we understand the money is in infinite abundant supply then it can never be taken from us.  We then start to working on the creative plane rather than the competive plane and know that much more is on its way to us.  We never need to compete for money, or anything else for that matter.  All we have to do is see it coming and get ready to recieve it ... which means to mentally prepare by creating the picture of the exact amount already in our posession."

- This was Schirmers response to someone who had missed out on a sale. Have you ever heard a bigger load of absolute nonsense!! This sums up Schirmer, take, take and take. And this shows that he does not have any idea about money, except how to take it off everyone. Full text here.

  They just keep coming:

"Other people's opinions of me are none of my business."

- Apparently this is one of his favorite sayings. He obviously forgot that once the ACA video had aired (see videos below), as he got very upset with everyones opinions of him!! Full text here:
